BioHaven Floating Islands provide many economic, social and environmental opportunities.

Economic & Other Opportunities
Solar projects are really ramping up. The Mojave Desert, for example, is an obvious place to harness the power of the sun. Such vast, open spaces allow solar installations to hum. But there are downsides. Unique flora and fauna have sensitive habitats in these areas. The installations can be a long way from human habitation (and the power grid). They are expensive to get to.
Lakes, on the other hand, have lots of space. Riparian habitat has been lost. Monocultures of algae have taken up residence instead of aquatic abundance. Many lakes are close to human populations who consume power.
What if we could place solar installations on water near large populations, and use the support platform to re-establish riparian habitat and bring back abundance? Wouldn't that be a major environmental opportunity?

Go Big or Go Home
The original concept behind WaterRR was to create a revenue stream by re-purposing the nutrients in water, turning them from waste to revenue by selecting for plants that have potential commercial value. A secondary focus was to use the "real estate" that BioHavens occupy on water to mount solar panels, and either generate power directly or use it to power the the water remediation process.
Today our focus is to make projects affordable by capturing clean-energy generation from floating solar and ...oh, by the way, we're getting rid of your HAB in the process.

How You Can Be An Economic Opportunist
- Be the solar energy company that also cleans up water.
- Be the water clean-up company that also provides power to the area.
- Be the community that cleans the water and grows natural food for the neighborhood.
- Not enough money for capital improvements? Be the urban area that cleans the pond for recreational fishing and powers generators for the basketball courts.
Social Opportunity
BioHavens make the perfect platform for educating the community about water while actually demonstrating water quality improvements. A purpose-built Science Island can include everything from examining biofilm under a microscope to catching fish.
When communities install BioHavens for stormwater or wastewater treatment, they have an excellent motive for hosting open days during which they can introduce their BioHaven - and engage the residents in discussion.
Installation of a BioHaven project is another chance to get people together to contribute to their mutual benefit and learn about water quality at the same time.

Investment Opportunity
We are grateful to our investors who responded generously to the first funding round we held on the StartEngine platform. This round has closed but we will post any further opportunities to invest in our exciting company when they arise.
Incentives
Please see our Solar BioHaven page for information about what incentives might be possible, including nutrient credits.
Citizens are intrigued by having floating islands in their sewage lagoons. Savvy community managers host open days to educate their townsfolk and elicit their co-operation in matters ranging from what they flush down the toilet to how their tax dollars are spent.
